Forum on Innovation and Practice of Marine Ecological Restoration Technology
Coastal and bay areas are the focused area of economic and social development. They are highly developed in this field and are thus tasked with supporting national and even international regional economic development. From 2012 to 2021, China's gross marine economy grew from RMB 5 trillion to 9 trillion, accounting for about 9% of China's GDP. In the meantime, as the marine industry structure is continuously optimized and new marine industries are increasing, t has also posed many challenges to the ecological sustainability of coastal and bay areas. Based on the theoretical and practical achievements in seawall construction, coastal plant and animal protection, smart coastal management, coastal urban design and low-carbon cycle, this sub-forum aims to provide the most advanced innovation schemes and technical solutions in the field of international ecology technology for marine restoration.
