Given the superior natural conditions and abundant fishery resources in the South China Sea, it is of great significance to carry out conservation of marine living resources in the South China Sea in order to maintain the stability  of the marine ecosystem and boost the sustainable development of fishery resources. Meanwhile, fisheries resources conservation, as one of the main ways of cooperation in low-sensitive areas between China and the neighboring countries in the South China Sea, has a special role in stimulating the international cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative, cultivating good diplomatic relations between China and the neighboring countries in the South China  Sea, practicing the concept of a maritime community with a shared future and maintaining sovereignty in the South China Sea. In addition, during this year's Two Sessions, General Secretary Xi Jinping made a comprehensive and systematic exposition on adopting a "Greater Food" approach. He pointed out that "To harvest food from rivers, lakes and seas, we should stabilize aquaculture, actively develop ocean-going fisheries, and improve the quality of fishery development." This provides the important ideological guidance for effective fisheries work. To this end, with the theme of "Integrated Innovation in Conservation and Utilization of Marine living Resources in the South China Sea", this forum intends to explore feasible ways to conserve and utilize marine living resources in the South China Sea under the new situation of ecological civilization construction. The exchange and discussion will focus on hot topics and cutting-edge technologies such as fishery resource conservation, marine ecosystem restoration, deep-sea and  ocean-going marine aquaculture varieties and engineering equipment, and deep-sea living resources excavation, with a view to driving the innovative and integrated development of conservation and utilization of marine living resources in the South China Sea.
