Forum on A Blue Future with Sustainable Blue Economy Finance
Recent years have seen extensive attention to sustainable blue economy finance at home and abroad. From the release of the UNEP's Sustainable Blue Economy Finance Principles to the pilot work in various regions, there is an active thinking from all sectors of society on how to apply financial tools to facilitate the sustainable development of the marine economy.
The World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), one of the initiators of the Sustainable Blue Economy Finance Principles, has a long-standing interest in the health of the oceans. In China, WWF is working with several partners to foster a balance between marine conservation and economic development, explore the implications of blue economy finance, and develop practical tools applicable in China.
This forum will integrate WWF's research achievements on blue economy finance in the past few years with concrete practices in China to bring a comprehensive understanding of sustainable blue economy finance to the public, government departments, research institutions and financial institutions, thus driving the transformation of the marine economy to a sustainable blue economy and fueling the blue future.
