NSOAS, mainly responsible for development ofocean satellite series and satellite ocean applications,provides publicservices for ocean economy.Established in 1996,the predecessor of NSOAS wasState Oceanic Administration ocean satellite integrative system designdepartment. In September 2000, approved by State Commission Office for PublicSector Reform China, NSOAS was officially founded.
