COOEC has successfully broken the foreign monopoly of the technology and equipment, by achieving a leap from 1000-ton lifting to 10000-ton floating-over on the installation of topside. The floating-over installation is achieved by using tides. The 10000-ton topside is driven to the jacket notch during high tide. And when the tide is falling, drop the topside slowly and steadily on the jacket legs. The key technology of floating over installation includes Getting Clearance, Location Guidance, Active Addressing, Docking & Closure, Load Transfer, and Safe Separation. The floating-over simulation requires us to create numerical models for marine equipment, ship hydrodynamics and dynamic coupling with buoys and moorings based on the virtual reality or simulation console. GPU parallel computing technology should be used to realize real-time data calculation and simulation, in order to carry out floating-over program verification and personnel training.
